
BIOGRAPHY
Zalome Briceño is a bilingual journalist working for Telemundo 60 in San Antonio, TX.
She's currently a weekday news anchor and reporter.
During her time with Telemundo 60, Briceño has worked her way up, starting out as a weekend multimedia journalist.
She has covered major news events, such as the migrant caravans arriving at the Texas and Mexico border and the separation of migrant families.
Most recently, she's reported and fronted from the anchor desk breaking news on the coronavirus pandemic, the historic Texas winter storm, and the 2020 presidential elections.
Previously, she covered Hurricane Irma's aftermath and the March of Our Lives.
Her dedication and commitment have been recognized; Briceño is the recipient of two Lone Star Emmys for her reporting work as part of the coverage on the first Covid-19 case in the San Antonio area and Las Mañanitas a la Virgen.
Briceño graduated from the University of Florida with dual degrees in Telecommunications-news and Political Science.
Briceño's passion for the field of broadcast journalism started as early as in her high school years. She was part of the TV/Radio and Film Magnet Program of her school.
